"Train Your Brain" (2006)Watch the Trailer (mpeg 5.7mb) A safety video for young children done under contract to "Project Lifesaver" For this project I was working with a good friend of mine. The contractor gave us a list of points they wanted explained, but beyond that we were in charge of everything regarding production. We had to come up with the script and storyboards, and of course all the designs, modeling, animation and rendering. It took a while to develop the visuals to the quality I wanted, but it was well worth it. The main focus was on the characters and character animation, so the backgrounds and props were simplified, but not at the cost of stylishness. Also, a lot of work with dynamic sub-animation such as wiggling cloth and hair helped streamline animation and added interest to character motion without much extra work. The final video was produced in both English and French, and will be distributed to schools across Canada.

"Healing Seekers" (2007)
Really short deadline for this project, but it wasn't too complex so I was able to pull it off. Learning to create growing vines was really interesting though, and now I have a new trick up my slieve! Also I now have a really sweet earth model to work with. Multiple layered maps for lots of effects, including visible city lights on the dark side! Sweet--!

"Ninja Mom" (2004)Watch "Ninja Mom" (mpeg 1.4mb)
This was a project for school, but also an entry in the "10 Second Club". They would provide a sound clip, and it was up to the animator to provide the visuals, and thus interpretation of the audio. Somehow I had a very clear idea of what I wanted the character to look like right from the start. He needed to be a little scrawny to really give off a sense of insecurity. This was also my first attempt at building a character rig from scratch. A lot of work, but in the end it was worth it as I learned a lot about bones and constraints, and also had really precise control over every motion.
